Help MARC Help the animals with the New Marion Animal Resource Center!
MARC - Marion Animal Resource Connection works hard to help rural Tennessee, which has little to no animal control. Before MARC existed, many of the animals, were left abandoned and injured, without the help they needed. They suffered alone.
MARC has survived over the years on a shoestring budget, on the tireless support of dedicated volunteers, and on the generosity of donors - people who care about the well-being of the animals around us.
This week, our prayers were answered when the beloved late Eddie Bell Sr’s sons, Russell and Eddie, donated a fixer-upper house to us in their father’s honor. This new space will serve as MARC’s new Animal Welfare Center. It will allow us to have better layout and space for the animals, more quarantine space to keep the animals healthy, and better facilities for our volunteers to do the work that is so desperately needed.
But the house needs a lot of work to make it animal-friendly. We need to install drains and concrete in the basement for easier cleaning. We have to do roof repairs, add new flooring, do electrical work, paint, and add a concrete parking lot and fencing. The total investment required to do all of the necessary work will be approximately $30,000.
The opportunities presented to us by this very generous gift are huge, but in order to bring our dream to life we will need your help!
$30,000 is a large number, but...
If 3000 people donated $10, we would meet our goal!
If 600 people donated $50, we would meet our goal!
If 300 people donated $100 we would meet our goal!
It's that easy! And it’s within our reach!
Since MARC’s founding, our mission has spread beyond Marion County to include the needy animals of Grundy, Sequatchie and Jackson Counties. As our reach has spread, so has our need for a true home of our own - and it’s right here in front of us! Thanks to the generosity of the family of Eddie Bell, Sr., and with your help, we can do the work we need and want to do for years to come.
We took in 167 animals in the month of April,. 67 more than a usual month, and no one knows what the long-term impact of Covid 19 will be on local families and animals. We need your help, and the animals need your help. Every little bit helps. Thank you in advance for your generosity, and for sharing this gofundme.
