Help the TRAPRS build our very own Missy Trap!
Out in the field, we use a wide variety of "tools" to help us capture lost and stray pets. From regular traps, snares, to slip leads.. you name it and it's probably been used in our cases. However, the one thing that we've all been dying to build is the coveted "Missy Trap."
This trap was named after a puppy mill dog who could not be rescued using conventional methods, and therefore, a new idea was born, courtesy of another amazing trapping group in Minnesota- Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest (RAGOM) and members of The Retrievers.

Why this is unique?
-- It's HUGE. This is perfect for larger dogs that are more challenging to trap in even our large 60" traps. Think of a massive X-pen!
--- This is a "topless" trap created by tall panels instead of a roof on top like a standard trap or crate. But, we have the option to cover it with netting if and when it's needed.
--- It's automatic! This trap has a special beam sensor that when a dog passes across it, the door automatically swings shut and we have them!
--- This is amazing for feral dogs, skittish dogs, and dogs who are generally afraid of anything above their head or are just too leery to climb into a regular trap.
What do we need?
We have a long supply list totaling approximately $600 in materials to build this.
We already have a volunteer team to do the labor, we just need the parts!
Can you help us save more animals by donating to our Missy Trap fund? We can't wait to try it out in the field!
