We began in 2017 with a mission to fund rehabilitation for Substance Use Disorder as well as recovery efforts. We are a 501C3 non-profit organization. We have to date, assisted 6 people into recovery. We have opened a second chance retail location at 1567 LIsbon Street, Lewiston, Maine, and a bakery to assist us in our mission as well as develop employment opportunities for people in recovery and overcoming barriers. We accept donations of gently used household items, clothing and resell them to the general public. For safety measures, we closed on March 20th, 2020 to keep our volunteers and patrons safe from the virus. We still have rent and utilities as well as insurance expense. We laid off our only two parttime employees. We need assistance to continue through this virus and reopen when it is safe. Our monthly expenses total more than $4500.00 per month. The substance use and mental health community need us now and in the future. The overdose epidemic will continue despite the virus.
