Point Hope is a non-profit whose mission is to be a voice for forgotten children. Our Central Oregon Chapter runs Hope’s Closet in Bend, a clothing closet for kids in foster care. We are opening it up to families impacted by this natural disaster. We are also working to help provide additional assistance to families in need affected by the Oregon wildfires. Help in any way you can!
Oregon is under a state of emergency! The Emergency Conflagration Act has been enacted as wildfires have continued to spread throughout the state. Oregon has at least 35 active fires, with more than 368,029 acres burning in the state, according to the Oregon Office of Emergency Management. The fire has burned hundreds of homes, destroying a substantial amount of some communities.
We are asking for local businesses, mobile food or hospitality partners, and family and friends to help us support those affected by the recent tragedies and donate to provide meals, clothing, and basic needs to families throughout Oregon Communities. We will be putting together clothing and care packages for families that have lost everything.
Many hotels in Bend & Redmond are being flooded with families that had to evacuate, leaving with only the clothing they had on their backs. Please consider helping to support these families in this tragic time of need.
DONATE NOW! This is how you can help!
If you are in the Bend-Redmond area, we are accepting donations of bottled water, protein/bars, clothing, gift cards, hygiene products, & undergarments for our #victimsoffire at:
