She's doing well and at home recovering. She will have to live a toothless life going forward, but will be spoiled with wet food for a while.
Help Sugar see the dentist! Sugar is a four-year-old, female cat fostered by OSPR. She is a homebody and will make the best companion for cozy days in. Unfortunately during her last vet appointment, it was discovered that many of Sugar’s teeth are rotting and require extraction. The infection is bad enough to result in sepsis (organ failure) if left untreated. While we know she’ll receive top-notch care, the procedure to get Sugar healthy is quite expensive. COCO Animal Clinic estimated that it will be around $800 in total which includes the extraction, medication and overnight hospital stay. The final total will vary depending on how many teeth they have to pull and the number of nights she stays hospitalized. Please consider donating to get Sugar healthy enough to continue on her search for her forever family.
OSPR is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit that operates solely on volunteers. 100% of the donations received in this campaign will go towards Sugar’s medical procedure (less applicable GoFundMe fees). If we are able to raise more than what is needed to pay for her care, the remaining funds will go to OSPR’s other fostered animals (80+ dogs and cats). "
