As the COVID-19 global pandemic continues to claim hundreds of thousands of lives around the world, the situation is particularly dire in Sudan, as a result of a severe shortage in personal protective equipment (PPEs), oxygen delivery systems, and testing kits.
In Sudan, despite generous contributions by the Coalition of Sudanese Organizations and others, there is a severe deficiency in the local production of the above types of equipment and very limited capacity to import. Sudan PPE optimization for COVID-19 (حماية) initiative in collaboration with the Coalition of Sudanese Organizations for Fighting Corona is partnering with the University of Khartoum Alumni Association in North America (UOKANA) to collect funds to secure emergency supplies through:
1- Establishing PPE sanitization centers to maximize the use of existing supplies.
2- Building capacity for the local production of gowns, masks, and gloves.
3- Procurement of additional test kits.
Your donation through this campaign, big or small, saves a life and makes a big difference, and is much appreciated.
