$1000 can help give 10 homeless dogs a second chance at life!
Rescued Pets Movement Inc. ("RPM") is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides a second chance for thousands of homeless dogs and cats through rehabilitation and transport to forever homes in communities throughout the United States and Canada that have a demand for adoptable pets. Together, Andi and Gary have fostered and helped transport over 35 homeless dogs in the past 18 months on behalf of RPM; it is a cause Andi is very passionate about and Gary fully supports. We would be eternally grateful for any donation made to RPM or homeless pets in general in honor of our marriage.
An estimated 1 million homeless dogs and cats roam the streets of Houston, TX, largely a result of irresponsible pet ownership (neglecting to spay or neuter the animals, dumping family pets on the streets when no longer wanted, it's shocking). With many animal shelters and other animal welfare organizations operating at capacity (and often overcapacity), this overcrowding forces the city’s kill shelters to euthanize up to 85% of the animals brought in.
Rescued Pets Movement is here to change that. RPM gives pets needing homes a second chance at life by, sometimes literally, pulling pets from death row. Once saved and in loving foster homes, these pets receive the crucial rehabilitation and medical care they lacked while they were on the streets. RPM has teamed up with reputable animal welfare organizations in areas across the United States and Canada with a high demand for adoptable pets and then transport those pets to their forever homes. The model is simple - if Houston has a high number of homeless pets, RPM will send them to places where people actually want to adopt animals. And it works! To date, RPM has driven over 1.5 million miles to bring over 25,000 (!!) pets to their forever homes, and with your donation, we can continue this amazing work.
