Help Reduce Human Trafficking! This project will develop an online platform to help reduce human trafficking through improving collaboration between nonprofits and community groups. This solution will help victims faster and more effectively through ~ WIKICHARITIES.
WikiCharities, is a Wikipedia for Charities, where we will initially target nonprofits and community groups working on human trafficking in the Bay Area, California.
We have 4 more funding goals to reach! We reached the first funding level which will fund the survey tools needed to reach the nonprofits. The second funding level will allow the community outreach team to engage with these agencies, assess the research and put together an action plan to develop the platform. The last three funding levels will cover building the website functionality at different stages.
Technology can help us create a better solution to helping reduce human trafficking through developing a collaborative online tool between nonprofits, community leaders and even the victims.
Did you know that California is one of the worst places in the U.S. for human trafficking. And did you know that the Bay Area is one of the worst places in California for human trafficking? We will be doing research in the Bay Area, California targeting nonprofit organizations focused on human trafficking and other topic related to human trafficking (homelessness, poverty, etc.).
