Poppy is a JBB foster who we intook this August when she was just days old. Her and her sisters were so very sick, but in no time at all, began to thrive.
Sweet Poppy has been living with one of our rescue's beloved foster care providers and has quickly worked her way into becoming a permanent member of their home. However, on January 3rd, little Poppy fell violently Ill. She had a 106 fever for a week, depression, anorexia, etc. She also had weird occular symptoms and soon developed horrible neurological symptoms. Poor Poppy, only 5 months old, began to be one uncoordinated, confused, and began having extreme personality changes. It is believed she is suffering from dry FIP.
Luckily, once believed to be a death sentence, treatment options are becoming available as we learn more about the disease. Poppy is fortunate to have the opportunity and is undergoing experimental treatment for FIP. Just one dose and were starting to see some minor improvements. Treatment for FIP is expensive.... and it must be done for atleast 12 weeks. Her first 2 weeks have been covered but we're hoping to raise money, so this baby can continue treatment and have a fighting chance. Her treatment will run between 120 and 320 dollars a week, not including progress checks with a veterinarian.
A 5 ml bottle of the medication runs $80.00. Donations of over $50.00 will be mailed the white cat pin below and donations of $80.00 (the cost of one vial) will be mailed ANY of our merch of your choice.
Please help Poppy have a fighting chance, if you can. If you can't, please share.
Let's help Poppy whoop some FIP ass so she can go back home.
If we are fortunate enough to exceed the amount we need for her treatment, we will apply the rest to another kitty undergoing FIP treatment.
