Our counseling program for troubled youth had to shut down during the pandemic because local middle schools could not refer their students. Our donations have decreased to the point that we cannot cover our operational costs like rent and utilities. Without a small office as a base for our community presence it will be very difficult to rehire the counselors who work so effectively with students who are at risk for using drugs and alcohol when their emotional needs are not being met. One local school district has already requested the return of counselors when students return to their middle schools in August. Much has been missing from these children's lives over the past year and their need for listening and support is likely to be great. Your donations will help us be ready to serve them.
