Bridgeport Hope School (BHS) is a small Kindergarten-8th grade private school in the South End of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Since we were established in 1996, our school has had a strong focus on performance arts. BHS believes in the power of art to transform the lives of our students. Participation in drama programs helps children build confidence, learn to work as a team, express themselves, have a positive outlet for their creativity, and strengthen their public speaking skills. Our students participate in every stage of producing a play from writing the script to designing the costumes.
2021 marks the year of our fourth full-length original production. With twenty three children on stage and even more behind the scenes, this is our most ambitious project yet! However, the associated costs of the program from printing, costumes, venue, and more are just out of reach for our little school. We need your help to bring our theatrical dreams to life. Our small school has weathered unprecedented hardships in this challenging school year but we refused to deprive the children of this valuable learning experience. If you know one of our talented young actors, if you believe in the power of performance arts, if you value creative expression, please contribute to our campaign. A donation of any size brings us closer to our goal, and sharing our campaign is a powerful way to help.
With your support, the BHS Drama Program and all the kids it uplifts will overcome the challenges of this year and thrive! Say yes to student writers, say yes to original songs, say yes to musical theater, say yes to student designers, say yes to art in the face of adversity by making a donation today!
