I will be participating in the Run to Home Base 5k on July 27th, at Fenway. I had such an amazing experience last year that I decided to run again. I will be running in Honor of my Fiancé, Staff Sergeant Kristofer Williams, US Army, currently serving in Afghanistan.
Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Program, is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds ( PTSD, depression, drug use, anxiety, and brain trauma to name a few ) for Veterans, Service Members, and thier Families through world-class clinical care, wellness, education and research. Since inception, Home Base has served more than 15,500 Veterans and family members with care and support, trained more than 67,500 clinicians, educators and community members nationally and remains at the forefront of discovering new treatments- ensuring a brighter future for the 21st century warrior and military family.
Our Service Members sacrifice so much to protect us! It is our job to protect them when they come home. Being a part of the Military Family and knowing what it feels like to have my love one risking his life for yours, makes Home Base an organization that is so close to my heart and so deserving of our support!
My goal is $2,500 but with your support I am hoping to increase that amount!
Thank You in Advance ~ Kristen
