My name is Ken, not Dracula...but I’d like your help in collecting more blood!
For more years than I care to remember, I’ve rolled up my sleeve to donate blood. It’s the easiest way I can think of to help save lives. Each of my sons has also served as President of the Dana Hills High School Red Cross Club, where they've been instrumental in motivating people to give blood and helped educate high school students on the importance of the Red Cross.
But today I’m asking for your help in donating Green instead of Red. The local region of our American Red Cross has almost raised enough money for a terribly needed new bloodmobile. These bloodmobiles travel all around SoCal every day of the week to make donating blood easy. The collected blood is then processed and delivered to our local area hospitals for patients who are badly in need – people who’ve been in terrible car accidents, cancer patients, mothers giving birth, children with blood disorders.
Over the course of its life, a new bloodmobile will collect about 28,000 units of blood. With each unit helping up to three people, each new bloodmobile could help as many as 84,000 patients.

Let’s do this! I’d like to help the Red Cross finish their fundraising efforts to buy that new bloodmobile, and I’m asking for your help to do it. A new Bloodmobile for our southern California area costs $375,000 To date, we’ve raised $346,000.
Our mission: raise the remaining $29,000.
