Keller's Cause is a small non-profit educational and rescue organization. We educate the public about dogs who are blind, deaf, or both, through educational materials and events attended across the midwest and east coast. Equally important, we rescue these dogs from bad situations, and provide free training resources for people who have opened their hearts to these special dogs.
One of our founders lives in Maryland, and the other in Michigan. We travel several times a year between the two places (and everywhere in between) to attend events, but our goal is always to reach a wider audience and rescue more dogs. We have started this fundraiser in hopes of raising enough to purchase our own van, so that we can not only attend more educational events, but also rescue more dogs. Many of our rescue dogs come from states away, and a transport train can often be very stressful, especially on a dog who is blind or deaf. We hope that we can pull our community together to make this happen, and hopefully put a dent in the homeless special needs dog population throughout the United States.
