Due to a recent cancer diagnosis Lorraine Healy, President and founder of Husky House, needs our help! She’s dedicated over 20 years to saving dogs, never having taken a vacation and sacrificing her personal life for them. These dogs are her family and the only thing that scares her more than her health, is that the dogs Husky House has committed to won’t be cared for! The worry of making sure the dogs’ lives aren’t affected is adding more stress for Lorraine, which should be avoided at this time. Lorraine has even talked of postponing any upcoming treatments she may need to keep the kennel going. Any help towards alleviating the financial worry is greatly appreciated. It would allow her to concentrate on her health and recovery.
There is no federal, city or state funding to help run Husky House. Husky House runs on charitable donations, your love and support.
The electricity bill can be over $3500 dollars to keep all our Siberian Huskies and other dogs cool.
The rent is $5800 a month for all the kennels and yard space.
Husky House’s gas bill can range from $200 in the summer to $900 in the winter months.
Ongoing vet care for all our dogs. We have a vet bill hovering over $100,000 all the time.
Husky House’s insurance/liability costs $250.
Car and truck insurance is $450 a month for commercial liability.
As you can see, it takes quite a bit of money to keep Husky House going! We need your help, especially now for Lorraine! Because without Lorraine, there would be no Husky House.
All donations are greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps!
