PLEASE HELP SUPPORT THE OPERATIONS OF OUR MEDICAL CLINIC IN MEXICO! Please help us as we seek to raise funds to provide lifesaving PPE equipment and operating expenses for our doctors serving the migrant farming community at our medical clinic in San Quintin, Mexico. We are in desperate need of masks, gowns, gloves, and life-saving medications to keep everyone protected and well cared for. GoFundMe will match our contributions up to $1,000! It costs roughly $25 to for one of our doctors to examine and treat an average patient, so the cost per patient is reasonable. However, we are now serving just under 600 patients per month, so our monthly overhead is almost $15,000! Your contributions are so needed and so appreciated! Global Care Alliance’s purpose is to meet the humanitarian needs of the world’s most impoverished communities. We have major projects in Mexico and Burundi. One of our major projects in Mexico is a community medical clinic in Vicente Guerrero, a town in the San Quintin region of Baja California. Our clinic serves the migrant field workers who move from areas of southern Mexico to tend the fields of the huge fruit and vegetable farms in the San Quintin region. Under the best conditions, these migrant farm workers and their families are constantly at risk of succumbing to their extreme poverty and poor living conditions. Today, the migrants in the San Quintin region have a new and relentless enemy in the form of COVID-19. Our doctors have not been able to obtain sufficient PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) from the Mexican government and as a result they have been at risk when treating patients with COVID-19. We are supplying their needs as we are able. Thankfully, none of our doctors have gotten the sickness, but we need to continue to provide them with PPE so that they do not fall ill in the hard days ahead. We thank you for your continued support!
