Living in Southern California can be expensive. Some of us have been there - the car breaks down and we need to decide not to pay the electric, water, and gas bills so we can use that money to get the car fixed. OR praying the little bit of money we have leftover from our check will stretch to the next payday. OR praying for nothing to go wrong this week because of not having money until payday which's 10 days away. OR worse - having something go wrong and running to get a Payday loan.
Every American either knows of a Military Veteran or have come in contact with a Veteran. The Military is the largest employer in the United States. M. Homelessness will never be zero because of Racial inequality, Economic inequality, Scholastic inequality, and the "Silent Discrimination" of mental illness. So Many People Suffer in Silence.
There are approximately 10 million Americans living with Depression and/ or Anxiety. For some people, these illnesses occur because of a traumatic situation, for some people these two illnesses are chronic, and there are some people who are genetically predisposed.
We applaud anyone who takes a stand to legitimize mental illness. Mental illness is real and it can be controlled - No one can do it alone. Choices In Action (CIA) is a non-profit organization recognized by the IRS and the State of California. CIA was established by a woman who is also an Air Force Veteran and a Social Worker for 18 years.
Without your help Choices In Action cannot take action.
No one is gettering anything for free. Imagine being homeless - you are dirty, no friends, no family, and having feelings of worthlessness. You are hard on yourself because of the bad decisions you made and you just can't catch a break.
Your donation is the break Homeless Veterans need. We only help Veterans that will help themselves. Your donation will help with the security deposit of $600. Your donation will help the Homeless Veteran get a Welcome Home Starter Kit (bed, sofa, kitchen table, and cookware).
Most of all - your donation will give the homeless Veteran HOPE.
