We are fundraising for supporting hospitals in China in their fight against the recent coronavirus outbreak!
The deadly new strain of coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak has killed at least 1017 people and infected more than 42,000 globally as it continues to spread beyond China. The number of coronavirus deaths in mainland China has overtaken the 2003 SARS epidemic in the country. To date, more than thousands of health-care workers over the world are fighting with 2019-nCoV at the front-line day and night, especially in Wuhan, China. However, as hospitals around Wuhan, Huanggang and Hangzhou struggle to deal with the outbreak, accounts are emerging of shortages of just about everything, there are not enough beds, not enough doctors and not enough nurses, not enough rubber gloves and not enough face masks. The Chinese Biopharmaceutical Association (CBA) has received urgent help requests officially from local hospitals in Wuhan and Hangzhou, they “urgently need” protective medical equipment as the death toll from the coronavirus continues to grow. CBA, as the nonprofit organization, is running a campaign to “directly” help hospitals in China responding to this crisis.
Currently CBA is using your donations to:
• Purchase protective medical supplies, such as mask, protection suit and goggles, which are emerging of shortage in China
• Provide frontline health-care works and volunteers with food, subsidies, and lodging costs
CBA is also planning to use the donations to:
• Initiate recovery efforts, such as mental health treatment for patients and health-care workers
• Initiate educational efforts for epidemic prevention to prepare next outbreak in China
CBA is one of the few international nonprofit pharmaceutical associations registered in US to support local causes in US and China. For assistance with other giving methods (check, bank transfer, and appreciated stock, bitcoin), or for corporate/foundation donations, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
CBA executive team will announce the fundraising amount in real time and ensure that all the funds received will be used to prevent the epidemic.
Let’s work together to fight against the 2019 coronavirus outbreak!
