Quarantining and staying at home? Imagine if you didn’t have a home in these uncertain times. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the stress on less fortunate homeless families.
23,000 homeless children and their families living in shelters of the five boroughs of New York City are suffering. They are running out of much needed essential provisions including basic hygiene and sanitary products as well as the educational and recreational items. They need help now. Please join us!
All of us are experiencing the draining and socially isolating effects of the lockdown, but some of us are fortunate to have the comfort of our own homes and many distractions - from games to technological devices - to sustain us. But imagine being confined to just one room in a shelter, and without anything to keep you occupied? The shelter supervisors are overwhelmed as they work hard to keep the children safe and engaged while they take a chance with their own health. They have asked for our help!
In keeping with the original mission of NYCCHP - to help better the lives of the homeless children of New York City - we are asking you to donate now so that we may provide the children with much needed supplies, including essential provisions, sanitary and basic hygiene products, and educational/recreational items.
100% of all donations will go directly toward the benefit of children living in shelters. And, any amount is appreciated.
We thank you for your consideration and we hope you and your family remain safe and healthy during this uncertain time.
