The pandemic has impacted us all in significant ways, and the effects of the crisis have been felt here at Glacier National Park. As we weather this challenging time, we are grateful for the beauty of this land and remain committed to preserving this incredible place.
This crisis presents stark challenges.
Following CDC guidelines, Glacier closed to visitors in March. The park began increasing limited services and access in June, but the east side of the park remains closed to protect the Blackfeet community at its border.
The park is still not fully operational. The Flathead Beacon reported just last month that “if Glacier National Park were dependent on visitation to stay afloat, it would be in desperate straits.” That’s where we come in, helping to fill the gaps to meet critical needs that would not be met without private support. We are all facing new challenges during this crisis. But if it is comfortable for you at this time, your support will make a difference here at Glacier.
