Hi. My name is Nate Prince. I am the owner/operator of Nate's Towing & Repair in Colfax, WI. My wife, Cindy, runs a non-profit equine rescue here as well. Since it's beginning, the rescue, Pony Tales Refuge & Rehab, Inc, has saved close to 200 equines from abandoment, abuse, neglect, and slaughter and she has a goal of doubling that number by this time next year! But, it is not without difficulty and much expense, time and financial-wise, for me.
You see, the current 4-stall barn is attached to my auto shop. People enter and exit the barn through my shop, past the two hoists, around and through the tools, toolboxes, parts, hoses, etc., while me and my co-worker are trying to get work done. There are even times when horses, yes horses, are being led in or out of the barn through the shop...while we are trying to work. This causes all work to cease, which costs time. This causes me and my co-worker to scramble around and move things out of the way so no one gets hurt, which costs time. Additionally, the horse feed, supplements, buckets, food dishes, blankets, halters, you name it, are in my shop taking up valuable space. Please help me get them out of my shop and into a barn of their own!!
I know, I know, I could just kick them out anyway. If only it were that easy. Unfortunately though, I kinda like my wife and I do love to see her so happy as she saves as many lives as she can. So, if it was that easy, I would not be in this predicament. Horse Plus Humane Society recently gifted the rescue with a $10,000 grant towards a new barn. But, we all know that $10,000 will not build a barn. We do have the builder already paid for, the excavator is lined up, the plans have been picked out, and the site has been selected, but...now we just need the materials.
So, I ask you, no I beg you, please, please, please help me get my wife and all the horse crap (I mean, stuff) out of my shop! Please! As a 501c3 non-profit, your donations can be deductible to you, so please, anything you can spare. Additionally, the construction of the barn will be part of a reality TV series featuring the rescue, myself, and my wife, set to air in 2020 called Horse Rescue Heroes. So, you will be able to see exactly what the funds you donate are used for. Thank you.
Sincerely, One very frustrated shop owner. (Although, it is kinda fun to listen to her complain when we make a bunch of noise in the shop....)
