Last month, we were recognized for our work by one of the nation’s leading autism organizations, Autism Speaks, at a nationwide walk-a-thon. We were the select recipients of a $5,000 grant to fund our Music Therapy Program. However, Music Therapy costs $4,000 dollars a year per individual. With this grant, we are only able to fund a little over one child or adult with autism for such crucial, life-changing therapy.
This is why we've started a fundraiser to reach our goal of $8,000 to fund not one, but two children or adults with autism from financially struggling families who are in desperate need of this therapy. Please help us accomplish our goal of the remaining $3,000.
So far, FAP has been able to help 10 children/adults with profound, nonverbal autism whose parents could not afford the therapy.
