Carlos was arrested by ICE earlier this year and has been detained for over 6 months.
A very involved father, Carlos lives in Westchester and has many beloved home renovation clients. He grew up in the United States and is the breadwinner of his family.
Carlos and his family were thrilled when, with the assistance of his attorneys at Make the Road New York and Legal Aid Society, he won his immigration case. But the government is appealing the decision so Carlos remains in detention.
After many months, Carlos was finally granted a bond hearing and is now eligible for release while his case is being appealed, but only if he can pay a bond in the amount of $12,000.
Make the Road New York is partnering with the New York Immigrant Freedom Fund to free Carlos. The Fund has committed $10,000 toward the bond. Please help us raise the additional $2,000 to secure Carlos's freedom.
Your donation in any amount will ensure that Carlos can celebrate Thanksgiving at home with his partner Melissa and their three children.
On behalf of Carlos and his family, thank you for your support!
