The floods in Pine Ridge have caused a humanitarian crisis. Pine Ridge is now being ravaged by dangerous flood levels that have destroyed several key water pipelines, infrastructure, housing and resources. Over 8,000 Oglala are in serious trouble. The water is contaminated, roads are inaccessible and food supplies are running low.
Tribal Vice President Darla Black accepted Alcohol Justice's formal request to partner in support and agreed to work with us to bring in needed resources.
Alcohol justice has organized together with the Oglala Lakota to reduce the excessive harms that alcohol has brought upon their community. Over the past few years, we assisted as they beat back the harmful bootlegging of alcohol at Whiteclay, Nebraska. We continue to be involved.
Please DONATE so we can deliver fresh water, large water containers, propane, rubber boots, food and other supplies for tribal residents.
