HELP FEED THE FRONTLINE FIGHTING COVID-19 IN LOS ANGELES
We launched our campaign on 3/24 and thanks to the incredible support from the LA community, we've been able to serve 28,000 meals to date . We are now serving 14k meals a week to our dedicated frontline workers at 16 locations in Los Angeles.
Bill Simmons, your infusion of $100k helped shine a light on the critical nature of this mission and enabled our operation to mobilize.
Anthony Davis and Lineage Logistics, your $250k match amplified everyone's efforts and allowed us to expand to a more meaningful footprint.
To the independent teams who found our Gofundme site and self selected to serve as ambassors for this cause, we salute you for your passion and for raising the bar.
We are maximizing our impact and stretching every dollar as we aim to meet the need for as long as our frontline workers are in the trenches.
It's a marathon and we need eachother to make this possible. Every dollar raised goes to our local restaurants to feed those on the frontline.
Together we will make a difference in the lives or our hospital heroes and local restaurants who continue to wage a war against the impacts of COVID-19! We can do this, LA!
WHAT IS HELP FEED THE FRONTLINES FIGHTING COVID-19 - LA?
This started with a small group of local moms from an LA public elementary school who in a desire to contribute, asked the sister of one of the women - an ER doctor at Kaiser - what they could do to help. She had two needs – protective gear and ‘a decent meal.'
A ‘decent meal’ was something they could make happen immediately – and between them, they organized dinner delivery from a local LA area restaurant (also grateful for a large order) to the 85 incredible nurses and doctors at Kaiser, risking their own lives and health to care for our community affected by Covid-19.
The women quickly partnered with a local LA father and colleague in the media and entertainment industry - and former Top Chef and Restauranteur Brooke Williamson who were working to galvanize resources with the same goal. Together the group quickly catalyzed to pull together Help Feed the Frontlines Fighting COVID 19-LA with the goal of feeding frontline healthcare workers in LA hospitals whilst keeping local restaurants operational.
SERVING YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD!

THE NEED CONTINUES TO GROW
Funding currently allows this campaign to continue serving 14k meals/week to 16 locations through the month of April. In order to extend the support through the month of May, the team must raise another $500k.
Beyond the current footprint being served, there are many other LA hospitals who still are hoping for support, along with a waiting list of restaurants who are also hoping to participate.. This is a community endeavor and we need your help to make this happen!
Every meal is being supplied by a local restaurant working hard to keep their business operational.
Participating hospitals now include:
Adventist Health White Memorial
Keck Hospital of USC
Martin Luther King Jr. Community
UCLA – Santa Monica
UCLA – Reagan
Little Company of Mary – San Pedro
Little Company of Mary – Torrance
Providence St Johns
LAC-USC County Emergency Medicine
LAC - USC ICU/ Violence Intervention Program
USC Verdugo Hills
Lawndale Fire Station
