The spread of the corona virus in Indonesia continues to expand. The effects of this virus are very worrying: Thousands of people are positive and under surveillance, while other conversions are accepted by the world.
This is clearly bad news. Moreover, the number of positive people continues to increase from day to day.
The central government and many local governments have tried to reduce the risk of numbers by appealing to work from home. We should appreciate this step, but we also need to understand that there are many small communities and informal sector workers who still have to work to meet their daily needs.
For example, online motorcycle taxi drivers, street vendors, food vendors in the market, and many other types of informal workers who do not have the privilege (privilege) to work from home.
Not only because of the nature of the work that requires them to be in the field, but also because economically they have to work to keep the kitchen cool.
Moved from that fact, I and Mr. Haidar Bagir created a fundraiser with the #SalingJaga movement.
Through this fundraiser, we invite you and all of us to help the economic needs of small communities and informal workers who are vulnerable to being affected by Corona.
We will allocate the proceeds from this fund to purchase:
- Basic and daily needs
- Masks, hand sanitizers, gloves, and other personal protective equipment
Beneficiaries of this donation include:
- People can not afford in big cities
- informal sector workers and workers
The distribution of donations will be carried out by a local community network coordinated by Gusdurian friends & Caring Movement at several points in need.
With donations from friends, we all certainly hope that the poor and informal workers can be protected from Corona and can take a break from their work because they have received help from their daily needs.
