Deaf and Hard of Hearing Service Center (DHHSC) is a non-profit organization that serves individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind, Late-Deafened, their families, friends, and community service providers regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, and income. DHHSC was founded in 1983, incorporated in 1984. DHHSC currently has four outreach offices located in Central California: Fresno Headquarters (serving Fresno County), Central Coast Outreach (serving Monterey and San Benito Counties), Merced Outreach (serving Merced, Madera, and Mariposa Counties), and South Valley Outreach (serving Tulare and Kings Counties). According to the DHHSC website, these regions include an estimated Deaf and Hard of Hearing population of over 171,000.
