Every year, millions of college students are graduating from school and entering the workspace but many are struggling to find a job. Even worse, many of them are taking on a massive amount of debt from loans without really understanding what it is they want to do with their life. While these students have been studying academics at their University, they have not been learning any life skills nor a basic understanding of how the job industry really works.
Our mission is to create a group life coaching program where these students can get mentored and coaches and begin to learn real life skills they can immediate apply so that it will make it easier for them to transition into the real world once they leave college. We have partnered with the Coaching Institute who is going to be helping us cover some of the costs of providing us some life coaches who will help manage these groups and guide these young adults.
The life coaching program will last 12 months (1 year) and the coaches will meet with the group on a weekly basis and provide them tools and resources they can use to help them transition smoothly into the real world.
Some of the material we plan on delivering include:
How to find your passion and turn it into a career
How to get more experience so that companies will want to hire you
How to manage your time more effectively
How to stay motivated when you might otherwise want to give up
How to develop good habits and become more self disciplined
How to communicate more effectively so that adults will take you serious
How to build your resume the right way so that companies will take notice
How to deal with stress in a more positive and constructive manner
And much more
With the New Year around the corner, our goal is to raise enough money by the end of the year so that we can offer this program to kids in 2019.
We need your support!
Please donate whatever you can so that we can help these kids. We plan to start in Los Angeles and then scale these efforts to other areas in California.
