20 years old in 2020!
The Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council (a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization) is celebrating 20 years as an electronic recycler!
Saving the Environment in a Responsible Way! We have been recycling electronics in our community and around the state, saving close to 40 million pounds from the landfill. Preventing mining and deforestation that are required for virgin material such as lithium for batteries . Under our R2 RIOS certifications our customers can trust that we recycle responsibly every day. The CACRC is the only R2 RIOS certified recycler in the state.
Supporting our community! One of our most important missions is providing low cost computers to low income families. Many families still do not own a home computer. Tens of thousands of families have been served.
We need your help to keep going! Due to downturn in the global markets, it has been a challenging year financially for our small Non-Profit organization. Effective means of selling material has shrunk dramatically, causing strain to pay our operating expenses. CACRC currently receives no grants, or government funding of any kind. We are raising money to buy licenses and parts for our special program computers for families and to recycle your used material.
Please consider donating to the CACRC by becoming a monthly sponsor ($20 or more) or a donation of a one time gift of any amount.
We can continue helping families with technology in their homes supplying kids with the tools they need for success. And of course, we will continue responsibly recycling electronics in our state.
Thank you for caring for our environment and kids in our community!
