In December of 2017, my dad had a major heart attack. One artery was 90% blocked and another was 100% blocked. I walked in on my dad laying down on the couch complaining of a tight chest and tingly in left arm. I was 15 at the time and was home alone. I immediately had a gut feeling that he was having a heart attack. I ran to grab him aspirin and went to my neighbors house to have them drive him to the hospital which was, luckily, a 2 minute drive. We got to the hospital where I was met by my mom and aunt and my dad was immediately rushed back after the results of his EKG came back. It was confirmed to have been a heart attack and he was rushed into emergency surgery. He had stents put in and spent the next few days recovering in the hospital. Since then he has turned his life completely around. He runs multiple miles a day and stays active. We were super lucky that he was given help in time and I wanted to start this gofundme to raise money for the American Heart Association to help fight heart disease and stroke.
