Amherst Ballet, a small, non-profit dance school in Western Massachusetts, has contributed to the community for half a century by providing quality dance instruction and creating beautiful shows, year after year, that involve local musicians, poets, and other artists. With discipline and poise acquired at Amherst Ballet, our alumni have gone on to successful careers in many fields as well as dance.
The current pandemic, however, has been very challenging for our school. Fortunately, we were able to secure a PPP loan and other relief funding last spring, which allowed us to provide virtual classes and then reopen our studios in July with the appropriate safety measures in place. A subsequent fundraising campaign enabled us to purchase air purifiers and continue to maintain a safe environment for our students, thanks to your support. But months of declining enrollment and tuition revenue since the beginning of the pandemic have left Amherst Ballet facing the imminent danger of closing its doors permanently unless we can raise $20,000 by early spring.
Please help this historic local dance school survive by making whatever contribution you feel comfortable.
When you make a contribution of $120 or more, we'll send you a thank you gift--digitized copies of past performances. Visit https://amherstballet.org/pandemic-fundraiser/ to choose your gift.
