Alexandra is a child of the Caravan. When we first met her, she was crying due to thirst. This bottle of water is the first drink of water she has had in 24 hours. She and her family left Honduras, where her father, a bus driver, was threatened by a gang and given an ultimatum: Become a drug mule for the gang or be killed. Alexandra, her father and their family have been walking for a month...one of thousands of families fleeing dangerous situations in their homelands for the sanctuary of America. They're tired and sick from being out in the elements, but they take the risk for the promise of a better life.
You can help Alexandra and her family here. Your support will go toward housing, feeding and legal support for asylum.
