Arkansas Immigrant Defense is a nonprofit law firm based in Springdale, Arkansas. AID serves immigrant and refugee minors and survivors of violence and trafficking at no cost to the client. We provide services for affirmative immigration relief and for defensive immigration relief (that is, people in deportation proceedings). About 70% of our cases are for minors and another 20% are for adult survivors of trafficking and violence.
AID is asking for your help now to create a resource that would serve immigrants and refugees across the nation. As you may know, on the first day of school last year, ICE raided locations in Mississippi and left children with no parents to go home to. AID is creating a guidebook for schools and communities to ensure that they can prepare for this in a way that protects children and ensures that they continue to receive food, education and positive distraction while schools determine to whom the children can safely be released. With your help, we can ensure that children and youth are served by their schools and communities and not subject to exploitation like trafficking and abuse. Thank you for supporting AID and thank you for supporting this guidebook!
