It’s an honor to be on the Heather Abbot Foundation (HAF) Team for the Boston Marathon.
Heather lost her left leg, below the knee, at the 2013 Boston Bombing. Her Foundation helps victims of obtain prosthetic devices. In the US there are nearly two million people living with limb loss and approximately 185,000 amputations that occur each year. HAF has provided prosthetics for many throughout the Country.
Recently HAF formed the Krystle's Kids Fund, in honor of Krystle Campbell, who was 29 years old when she was killed in the Boston Marathon bombing. The fund allows children with limb differences, who live in the Boston area, to attend camps designed for kids like them.
The impact of an amputation is catastrophic and is physically and emotionally devastating for the victim. The Heather Abbott Foundation envisions a world where individuals who have suffered limb loss can live the life they love.
Your sponsorship can literally put an amputee back on their feet and get them started on their road to recovery.
