If you are reading this, you probably know me. If you know me, you probably know that I have been passionate about running. I have been running for nearly forty years. I have completed 34 Marathons, 23 Boston‘s +/-.
So many times I have met people who ask me what charity are you running for? Well I always had a number so I had never ever thought about running for a charity. I always just ran for me, competing within myself to be the best I could be in any given year based on training level.
Running has always been so special to me. I do it for fitness and stability. But this year something changed and I want to run Boston for someone else. What was initially a disappointment (not qualifying) has become a blessing, because now there will be others who can benefit from all of our contributions.. Adults and children who have lost limbs will get prosthetics they need (I had no idea how expensive they are) for a better quality of life. Please visit, The Heather Abbott Foundation Limb-it-Less, read up, and make a contribution. I know that we all get hit up from every direction, but I also know how important giving to a worthy cause is, and there are so many. It will not cost you an arm and a leg, but it will provide someone with one.
Peace and Thanks for your support for HAF and Team Limb-it-less!
