Most Heath Lions Fund Raising events have been cancelled due to COVID-19 which has limited the Heath Lions’ ability to continue charitable causes at the same rate as in the past. You are asked to please support this fundraiser to help the Heath Lions raise much needed funds to help others.
Profits from the Heath Lions Club GoFundMe will be used for scholarships and awards, Canal Park upkeep, Liberty Days project, recycle used eyeglasses, recycle used hearing aids, Youth-in-Government Day, diabetes awareness programs, sponsor a girls’ softball team, provide Christmas food baskets to seniors, Peace Poster Contest at Heath Middle School, annual Easter Egg Hunt at John Geller Park, drug and alcohol abuse prevention programs, GOOD Program at Heath High and Middle Schools, strive to provide financial aid to the needy of Heath, work to support local students and the school system, annual Santa Claus tour of Garfield Elementary School, a sponsor of the Karis’ Cause 5K, provide eye care and corrective lenses for the financially disadvantaged of Heath, financial support to the Licking County Center for the Visually Impaired, sponsor youth with special needs to the Ohio Lions Camp Echoing Hills. In addition, the Heath Lions Club is affiliated with the Ohio Lions and Lions Club International and provides local and worldwide financial assistance to areas hit by natural disasters. They are involved in sight preservation programs, eye banks, pilot dogs, hearing dogs, diabetes and eye research, drug and alcohol abuse prevention, youth programs, and much, much more.
