Caleb came to Lizzy’s Lodge from a North Carolina shelter where he had only a few days to find a rescue who would save him. Once we brought him into our rescue, we learned that he had heartworms which requires a challenging 3 month treatment protocol with limited activity. Caleb has begun the treatment to rid his body of the heartworms and is tolerating the process fairly well. However, he would much prefer to run and play rather than put up with the restrictions on his activity that he's facing right now. Caleb is a happy, engaging fellow who loves everyone he meets and is ready for anything, especially the fun! Once he's finished with his heartworm treatment he will be ready for a new and exciting family life. Heartworm treatment requires time and expensive medication. Between the pre-treatment drugs and x-rays, the injections to kill the heartworms and the medications during the process, eliminating heartworms is a big financial drain for any rescue. Would you please help Lizzy's Lodge care for Caleb? Thank you for your support. Caleb says "WOOF!"
