The effects COVID-19 has on our community are extensive. We want you to know that we are #HEARforyou now and will be #HEARforyou after.
NOW- Our office is changing how we deliver services, but our mission to serve remains the same.
-According to the CDC, minority groups are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
-Minority groups have less access to privacy for telehealth due to multi-generational households.
With our new format of providing therapy online via telehealth, we are offering headsets with microphone capability to clients. Your contribution will increase safety and security, reduce distractions, and improve privacy for each client during counseling sessions from home.
AFTER- Data shows the potential for long-term mental health consequences extending well beyond the duration of this pandemic.
-According to Mental Health of America, we experienced a 19 percent increase in screening for clinical anxiety in the first weeks of February
-12 percent increase in screening for clinical anxiety the first two weeks of March
-DWD projects close to 725,000 Wisconsin residents — across 48,000 private establishments — are out of work due to the pandemic.
-Wisconsin’s jobless rate has skyrocketed to nearly 27% due to the COVID-19 pandemic
Your donation will provide immediate financial relief for individuals and families who seek mental health services but are unable to pay due to job loss or other financial burdens.
With your help, we will be Helpful, Empathetic, Available, and Ready to serve our neighbors and friends now and after the pandemic.
We are #HEARforyou. Let the community know you are here for them. Join our #HEARforyou campaign.
