The COVID pandemic has hit minority women particularly hard. In addition to the health risks, these women are on the front lines of losing their livelihoods, contributing to the stress. Your support will help the Kota Alliance support minority women locally in New York, specifically Northern Manhattan, with the immediate focus on their health. Many have lost loved ones to coronavirus and are grieving. In addition, many of these women are on the front lines as health care workers and other essential workers; many others are now unemployed. They are often caregivers to elderly family members, and now have to simultaneously organize their kids schooling from home. The pandemic has also increased instances of domestic violence. Our campaign will raise funds to offer a collection of free mental health counseling, yoga and meditation classes, life coaching and more – services you normally have to pay for – all via Zoom. Please help us put together a far-reaching health support program!
