My mom, Shelby, has Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer and some things are just more important than toys!
This is my mom's second battle with breast cancer. Her first battle ended in success and because of that, I am here today! However, 2-years ago in October 2018, the cancer came back and my mom was diagnosed yet again. This time, with a more aggressive cancer stage. However, each day I have the pleasure of spending time with her and I'm thankful for every additional day I get to see her. Because of the advancement in cancer research from organizations like the American Cancer Society, my mom's life has been extended longer than most moms with her diagnosis. In order to keep more mommies alive and spending time with their children, more research is needed. Therefore, instead of asking for toys this year, I would like to fundraise in honor of my mom, Shelby Quinley, and the many other families out there who have been directly affected by breast cancer. In doing so, your donation will go to American Cancer Society Knoxville. Their mission is to Save Lives, Celebrate Lives and Fight for a world without cancer. ACS and millions of volunteers, like my family and me, are fighting so hard right now to help fund a cure and your help is needed. Thank you!
