Last Spring, over 87 Teams and over 2000 members of the Harlem Lacrosse family joined together to make a difference and compete in our 1st Annual Harlem Lacrosse Classic.
The “Friends of Haverford College Lacrosse'' Page was established early and immediately shot up the leaderboard outworking and outhustling many of our Division I and Division III counterparts. The ball was flying around, role players were clearing through on offense, d-middies were forcing other teams down the alley and the Black Squirrel goalies were eating up every shot. Dickinson never had a chance.
Eventually, the team ran out of gas in the 4th as a few of college lacrosse’s prestige programs ran by the Fords with just a few minutes left in the quarter.
The Fords are back for the second annual classic and ready to complete and maybe even win the whole thing, having spent more than enough time watching film, hitting the wall, and getting shots on Swan field to channel their best Josie Ferri and Max Hjelm impression.
Through all of the adversity of 2020, the people who make up the Harlem Lacrosse family have adapted, persevered, and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the mission of Harlem Lacrosse. The strength of our collective Haverford lacrosse community has helped ensure that the students Harlem Lacrosses serves will always know Harlem Lacrosse is here for them.
As lacrosse season gets under way, the Haverford lacrosse family is here to continue to reaffirm, support, and advocate for all of the Harlem Lacrosse programs across each of our five cities. If you are ready to put in the work and hustle, it's time to join the 2nd Annual Harlem Lacrosse Classic!
Please use the links above to join or support our “Friends of Haverford College Lacrosse” team. So, tag and nominate your friends, family, teammates and co-workers to join our team and perhaps if so inclined accept the HL Classic WALL BALL Challenge. Share the link to join the Harlem Lacrosse Classic on social media posts and if you’re looking to improve and eventually lock horns with the Ivy or ACCs (and have Anish, Quint, and Carc talk about that little school that could) get on the wall and let Harlem Lacrosse know what part of the country you are repping.
Thanks for being part of the Harlem Lacrosse family! With your help and hard work, we are preparing young people to achieve at the highest levels.
