Every year Harry Styles' fans from all over the world get together to organize and participate in a fundraising to celebrate Harry's birthday. Harry's motto is "Treat People With Kindness" and we want to give honor to that by doing amazing things that are meaningful and have an impact in the world. We choose organizations based on things we strongly believe and we choose to focus on minorities within the fandom as well so those people can feel loved and acknowledged like they deserve to feel always. We believe that that's the real meaning of TPWK. Last year we managed to donate 5K to the AMAZING organization "Black Girls Rock".
This year, we chose Immigration Equality, since 1994, this organization has been proud to advocate for and represent lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ), and HIV-positive immigrants seeking safety, fair treatment, and freedom.
In over 80 countries around the world, it is a crime or fundamentally unsafe to be LGBTQ. For far too many people, it is impossible to be out and proud.
For more than 20 years, IE has been focused on providing free direct legal services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and HIV-positive immigrants, including:
- Asylum seekers forced to flee to the U.S. to find safety
- LGBTQ binational couples and families separated by oceans
- Detained people trapped in immigration jails
- Undocumented LGBTQ people living in the shadows inside the U.S.
