I am writing to you today to ask for your support. I have been inspired by the work that the American Cancer Society is doing through their mission to free the world from cancer, and until they do, they will be funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention. All so the people I love can live longer.
Here in Boston, The Hope Lodge gives cancer patients and their caregivers a free home away from home during treatments. More than just a roof over their heads, it's a nurturing community that helps patients access the care they need which is crucial to beating the disease.
This approach that the Hope Lodge has taken has been the difference to so many patients going through life saving and life altering treatments.
I would like to help the American Cancer Society with their mission and I am hopeful that you will help me. On September 13th, I will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch at the Red Sox game at Fenway Park. This is a huge honor and I want to shine the spotlight on the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge program. I am collecting donations with the help of my dad and his assistant Jamie. Please let me know if I can count on your support.
