Friends, Family, Oregonians!
You may know me as the Founding Director of the Tsuga Community Commission or an aspiring Bonsai artist. I also try to go running once in a while. I'm running my first ever Marathon at the end of this month and have decided to run in support of the Harrington Foundation in Eugene. You might remember legendary Duck QB Joey Harrington?! He's doing some great work providing need-based scholarships and mentoring support for emerging leaders in Oregon. I have a fundraising goal of $1,000. If we achieve it, maybe Joey will hit me on a slant pass for a touchdown as I finish the race inside Autzen stadium (well, it's a nice idea anyway). If you can offer $10 or even $20 dollars, it'll mean to world to me and future Harrington Foundation program participants. Thank you for getting involved and for giving me a reason to run!

The Harrington Family Foundation was established in 2002 by former NFL quarterback Joey Harrington, the Harrington Family Foundation (HFF) has raised more than $2 million for students across Oregon, providing access to quality education for in-state youth. In early 2014 Joey created a unique scholarship-mentorship program intended to facilitate the growth of promising leaders in the state of Oregon, the Oregon Community Leadership Scholarship.
Every spring HFF awards four-year scholarships to four students who demonstrate an aptitude for leadership. The $16K scholarship is designed to encourage Oregon high school students who have shown a take-charge ability in their communities, but may need help reaching their potential. Students also have access to a board of mentors — influential leaders in the state of Oregon who are available to assist them along their collegiate journey, and beyond.
Donations made through the fundraising efforts of the Eugene Marathon/Half Marathon/5K team members will help us support our future Oregon leaders. Sign up today and join our team!
