I can't believe its been a full year since Everett's last campaign that you graciously helped us with. Everett is turning 5 on Saturday! To be honest, it's been a very difficult year. To watch our little boy doing his best to "hang on" is so challenging. And WOW is he trying...he is doing so good and works so hard. But he's fighting an uphill battle against Time. Everett needs a treatment now! And that's why we are doing this fundraiser again...in the hopes that Everett's life can be saved. It's that critical.
Sanfilippo Syndrome is also known as 'Childhood Alzheimer's'. It is a cruel disease. It causes severe dementia and takes your child away from you right in front of your eyes. Unfortunately, Everett is now at the age when the disease begins to take hold. Without treatment his future will be inability to talk, a wheelchair, a feeding tube, and death usually in the teens. Sometimes, it's hard to even fathom this reality. We hold onto Faith, Hope, and Action. There IS something that can be done to stop this from happening to Ev!
