Respecting our parents, grandparents, and older adults has always been an important virtue in the Hanul family. As we all get older, everyone must be included to fully participate in the life of our families and communities. But limited English proficiency, loss of social and economic status, and lack of extended family support creates extra barriers to sustaining independent and healthy aging.
We need your help today to help our older adults be empowered by becoming resilient members of the community in this unprecedented time. Without your financial help, Hanul cannot do what we do best - help and serve our community.
No donation is too small. Here’s how you can make an impact:
Help us eliminate the digital divide
$50 will support Wi-Fi hotspot connection for one limited English-speaking senior in order to attend virtual classes for one month.
$300 will provide one person with an electronic device they can lease to stay virtually connected through online classes or individual counseling services offered by Hanul.
$500 will support one part-time staff who can provide individualized technology assistance, support, and education for people who lack digital knowledge and resources.
Help us support homebound older adults
$50 will enable an older adult to pick up five Korean hot meals.
$120 will provide eight home delivered meals for older adults.
$500 will support an older adult to receive 20 hours of in-home assistance for a week.
Help us provide access to vital benefits and resources
$75 will support one legal permanent resident take a weekly virtual citizenship instruction class to help them become a naturalized US citizen.
$300 will provide weekly mental health counseling for one individual in need for three months.
$500 will enable one staff member to provide benefit counseling for 25 low-income seniors and families via virtual or telephone assistance.
Thank you for your continued and future support!
