Ladies and Gentleman. Did you know that Hannah was born with a moderate to severe bilateral hearing loss? Do you know what that means? Well - it means that she needed to start wearing hearing aids at 3 months old and she received early intervention services (with the huge help and support from Clarke). She had weekly services and has practiced and worked so hard to "Listen" so she can use the hearing she has utilizing the amazing technology we have today, her hearing aids. By doing this, she has been learning to talk (well, for those of you who know, she doesn't stop!) and continuously develop her speech as well as self-advocate for situations where she doesn't hear everything (very common when you are not having a direct 1:1 conversation). I am happy to report that because of all her hard work, dedication and support from Clarke, Hannah's family members and friends/neighbors/doctors (the list can go on and on), Hannah is thriving 4 1/2 year old girl who is close to completing her second year at the Integrated Preschool in Duxbury. She will be starting Kindergarten in late August. As her parents, we are SO proud of her and would like to give back to Clarke so they can continue to make the impact to other families as they did with us. Thank you!
