The Hammonton Band Boosters is a parent run, non-profit organization that supports the Instrumental Music Program at Hammonton High School. There is nothing more important to us than supporting our students and their musical endeavors. One of our main purposes is to support the band financially, which has proven to be quite difficult during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Every year, we provide scholarships to two outstanding Band students: 1 for Color Guard and 1 for Marching Band. We host many activities for the students during the school year. This includes events such as pizza parties, a Halloween party, and a summer end of band camp celebration. To further support the band, we supplement the school's funding for the Marching Band's competitive season. Last year, we supplied the funding for things like field props and the coach bus transportation to the final competition.
With a sense of civic duty and community pride, the students participate in many parades each year. Due to numerous cancelled events this spring and summer, we will unfortunately lose at least $2,000 in donations we typically receive for the band's participation in those events.
The loss of revenue we will have as a result of COVID-19 will greatly impact our ability to support our Band students in the coming years. Without the donations we receive to support the band we will no longer be able to ensure the financial needs of the Band program are met.
The students work extremely hard in cultivating their musical craftsmanship.
We do not want to let them down!
Please consider donating. Any amount will be greatly appreciated!
