Join Yoga Village as we welcome Hala Khouri to Wilmington! This 20hr training offers a physiological and integrative framework for understanding how #trauma and chronic #stress impact the body and mind. This module specifically focuses on #yoga, #mindfulness, somatic practices, and #meditation, and their ability to reduce trauma and stress symptoms while cultivating a greater sense of well-being. The training will equip you with relevant theory, tools, and in-person practice to better support trauma survivors as they befriend their bodies and reclaim a sense of safety and empowerment in their lives. An introduction to systemic patterns of trauma at the heart of #socialjustice issues (like #poverty and #racism) will also be explored.
The goal of a trauma-informed yoga practice is to build #resiliency, establish greater self-regulation, and feel safe and at-home in our bodies so that we can feel stable, have good self-esteem, and healthy relationships. Anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, relationship stress, and health issues are often the result of unresolved trauma
