I’m cutting my hair and shaving off my beard, if and ONLY IF, I hit my goals to raise upwards of $2000 for cancer research.
It all began at the end of 2015 when I quit my job to go traveling. At first, I had no plans of what to do with my luscious locks. But after several months, the idea of paying to get my hair cut seemed like a waste of money. Fast forward through three years of not shaving or cutting my golden mane and here I am in all my caveman glory. Needless to say, the hair has got to go. Except I love it, even though I sometimes hate it, so if I'm going to do this, I'll need your help.
In the past year cancer has begun to rear its ugly head within my reality. I’ve had several friends diagnosed with cancer and they are at different stages of their battles with the disease. This past Fall, we lost a good friend and pivotal member of our community when his Bile Duct Cancer metastasized to his lungs and brain. He left behind his wife and two young children, and in the past months I've witnessed the power of the community rallying around his family in love and support. It has inspired me to do more.
I’m sure people are curious to see what I look like underneath three years of hair growth. Curious enough to donate to a good cause in order to find out? I hope so. Let’s work towards finding a cure and help me become a respectable looking young man along the way. If we raise $2000 I will cut off all of my hair, if we raise $5000 I will also shave off my beard, and why stop there? I have faith that with your help we can raise $10000 for cancer research.
Please donate, and please share this page.
